Mike Hunt is right, this is a really good subject. its not the religion that he, or I, hate but its the blind faith these people live for - Ignoring facts and science. Fools! These people should read a little factual information and watch a few of our bbc's programmes on evolution and cave men. Then they can shoot their mouths off. These christian folk really should do something other than live for the bible.

fact - not all christians live for the bible

fact - it is a relatively small percentage that do not believe in evolution.

the first post i could see a point to, but it just angers me when people can be so narrow minded as to class all christians as being the same and not having a life etc etc and then slagging off some one elses beliefs just because they are different to your own. i feel like i am repeating myself here. and no matter what you say to these people about evolution etc, they will not buy it, its the way they have been taught and brought up so it really will be just a waste of your own time trying. xxx

If a christian came onto hostboard,on this forum,preaching and telling everyone that if they weren't christians,they were wrong,that would be viewed as intolerable,yet you feel it's ok to go on to a christian chat page and totally mock their faith?That is ignorance my friend,or dead funny.Not sure.
Seriously,Emma is right.It is a small percentage of religious people that refuse to believe we evolved,and that the world is just over 10,000 years old,and that dinosaur fossils were put there by god to 'test our faith'.They are called 'fundementalists'.And they all look strangely unevolved."I believe that god created me in one day"Yep.Looks like he rushed it!
The ethics of christianity are a good way to live.it is unfortunate that most christians don't live by them,yet feel sated by the fact they attend church weekly.I'm not religious at all,which at many times I find to be a burden.It would be good to believe that there was a benign force guiding and protecting us,with a reward for being a good person,but sadly,I am way too cynical for that.Too many holes.Although the ten commandments were a good idea and the basis for civilised life,you only have to look at the Irish problems,two subdivisions fighting and hating each other for believing 2 different ways of interpreting the bible.tht is where it falls.A relative of mine,says grace before eating anything,yet beats the living fuck out of his kids,and wonders why one is a bed wetting junkie....the list goes on.
Good people are good people,beliefs are irrelevent.discuss religion,but never say that someone is wrong for believing what they do.THAT's how violence starts.

Balls of Jerico - about the evolution theory and scientists cant find the link to humans and water creatures...

Have you ever heard of an amphibian? Like - A frog or a mud skipper? these animals (amphibians) are currently evolving from water like creatures into land animals. These animals need to return to water to keep wet, as they are amphibians they can breathe throught there skin. Not only do they breathe throught there skin they have gills or lungs of some kind, this is because they are half way evolved. And I dare say in a few thousand years they may be full land animals.

Correct me if I am wrong... (before which - research the mudskipper)

Didnt slag off all christians... Just those on www.christianchatrooms.com . These are the "narrow minded" ones to which I was reffering to. I too was told, in school, about christianity. I also was taught about jesus and all the other fairytales, the reason I was told in school was - its got a good moral to the story and its a tale. At least some christians can take the bible, and christianity, with a pinch of salt.
